FARRIS CENTER

Since its opening in January of 1972, the Farris Center has been the home of the Central Arkansas men's and women's basketball programs, and has seen many memorable moments.

Maybe the most memorable occurred on Jan. 20, 2010 when 5,297 spectators crammed into the Farris Center on the night that the university retired basketball legend and UCA alum Scottie Pippen's number 33 in a special ceremony featuring Pippen himself along with former coaches and players. Pippen was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame later in the year.

The 5,500-seat facility was the home arena for Pippen from 1984-87, hosted an NCAA regional in 2005 and has attracted some of the nation's elite talent while serving as the host site for some of the nation's most prestigious AAU tournaments. It also serves as the host site for the annual Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star Games.

In the summer of 2010, the court underwent a complete renovation which prominently features the new UCA athletics logos. New scoreboards, including a video board, were installed prior to the 2010-11 season, and new floor seating was added around the court in 2012 to bring fans closer to the action and enhance the in-game environment.
